The Wood Processing Equipment Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining woodworking machines such as auto cut-off saws, multi ripsaws, moulders, pallet plank cutting machines, arbor saws, and related equipment. The role ensures precise cutting, moulding, and finishing of wood components while adhering to production targets, quality standards, and workplace safety.
Operate wood processing machines including saws, moulders, and finishing equipment.
Read and interpret production drawings, job cards, and measurements.
Set up machines, calibrate cutting tools, and ensure accurate processing.
Inspect output for correct dimensions, surface finish, and quality compliance.
Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance.
Report malfunctions or breakdowns to the maintenance team.
Handle raw timber, semi-finished, and finished wood safely.
Maintain production logs, scrap reports, and daily shift records.
Follow workplace safety standards and ensure proper use of PPE.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve productivity.
