The Timber Processing Machine Operator will operate and maintain machines used in timber cutting, ripping, moulding, and finishing processes. This includes equipment such as Auto Computer Cut-off Saw, Multi Ripsaw, Moulder, Arbor Saw, and Pallet Cutting Machines. The role ensures smooth machine operation, accurate timber processing, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Operate timber processing machines (saws, moulders, rip saws, and finishing equipment) as per production requirements.
Read and interpret job orders, measurements, and specifications.
Set up machines, adjust cutting settings, and ensure proper feeding of timber.
Monitor production output to maintain accuracy, dimensions, and quality.
Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance of machines.
Detect faults, troubleshoot minor issues, and escalate major breakdowns to maintenance.
Safely handle raw timber, processed planks, and finished products.
Maintain logs of production, scrap, and downtime.
Follow safety protocols and ensure the use of PPE.
Contribute to continuous improvement by reducing waste and improving efficiency.
