Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer with a strong background in quality assurance and control, particularly in the manufacturing domain. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience and be proficient in MSA, SPC, sample inspections, and instrument handling.
Key Responsibilities:
Measurement System Analysis (MSA): Conduct MSA studies including Gage R&R to ensure measurement accuracy and equipment reliability.
Statistical Process Control (SPC): Implement and monitor SPC practices across production lines to maintain consistent product quality.
Sample and In-Process Inspections: Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections as per quality standards and sampling plans.
Instrument Handling & Calibration: Operate and maintain inspection instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Ensure regular calibration and upkeep of quality tools.
Quality Documentation: Maintain inspection reports, control charts, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and ensure compliance with company quality management systems.
Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action: Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Team Support & Coordination: Collaborate with production, maintenance, and other departments to ensure process improvements and defect reduction.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing industry (fasteners preferred).
Strong knowledge of quality tools and techniques including MSA, SPC, and GD&T.
Hands-on experience with quality inspection instruments and documentation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
