We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Executive to oversee and maintain the quality standards of products manufactured through injection moulding (multi-cavity moulds) and PET bottle blowing processes. The role involves close coordination with production, R&D, and maintenance teams to ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
Perform in-process and final quality checks of stand-up caps, closures, and PET bottles.
Monitor and inspect products from multi-cavity moulds for dimensional accuracy, flash, short shots, warpage, etc.
Verify critical parameters like weight, dimensions, wall thickness, torque, leakage, etc.
Conduct leakage and drop tests for PET bottles and closures.
Ensure product quality meets ISO standards, customer specifications, and company benchmarks.
Monitor injection moulding and blow moulding processes for consistency.
Identify and report process deviations or non-conformities.
Assist in root cause analysis (RCA) and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Maintain proper documentation of in-process checks, final inspection reports, test results, and rejection logs.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QC reports.
Support internal and external audits.
Ensure that mould cavities are producing consistent parts across all cavities.
Check for cavity-to-cavity variation and escalate issues promptly.
Coordinate with tool room for preventive maintenance of moulds impacting quality.
Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, and food-grade packaging norms.
Adhere to safety protocols and promote quality culture on the shop floor.
Hands-on knowledge of injection moulding and PET bottle blowing processes.
Familiarity with multi-cavity moulds, hot runner systems.
Use of QC tools like vernier calipers, micrometers, pressure testers, top load testers, etc.
Experience in statistical process control (SPC) and quality assurance systems.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Diploma / B.Tech in Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Certification in Quality Management / Six Sigma is a plus.
