Responsibilities and Duties:
Production Planning and Scheduling: Developing and managing production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization, coordinating closely with sales and supply chain teams.
Process Optimization: Continuously reviewing and improving production processes to enhance efficiency and productivity, identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and implement best practices like Lean Manufacturing or automation.
Quality Control: Implementing quality assurance procedures, monitoring production stages to ensure products meet company and industry standards, and addressing any issues that could compromise quality.
Team Management: Supervising, motivating, and guiding the production staff, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, training new employees, and resolving conflicts to build a high-performing team and foster a positive work environment.
Inventory Management: Tracking raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to maintain optimal stock levels, prevent shortages, and minimize storage costs.
Cost Control: Monitoring production expenses, implementing cost-saving strategies, managing budgets, and ensuring profitability.
Equipment Management: Overseeing the maintenance, repair, and potential replacement of manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Safety and Compliance: Ensuring strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards and regulations within the plant.
Collaboration: Liaising with various departments, including procurement, logistics, engineering, quality assurance, sales, and senior management, to ensure smooth workflow and alignment of production goals with overall business objectives.
Reporting: Preparing and maintaining detailed production reports, analyzing performance data, and communicating results and recommendations to management.
