Job Title:
Assistant Manager - New Product Development (NPD)

Location:
Sonipat, Haryana

Department:
Operations

Reporting To:
Chief Production Officer

Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or Food Engineering

Job Summary:
Responsible for leading the innovation and commercialization of new snack food products (popcorn, extruded snacks, flavored variants) and driving brand growth through product development.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end product development: concept, prototyping, trials, commercialization.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, Production, Marketing, Procurement, Supply Chain).

Develop and optimize recipes for various snacks (popcorn, extruded, roasted).

Conduct shelf-life testing, sensory evaluations, and process validations.

Source and assess new ingredients, flavors, and packaging in coordination with suppliers.

Manage pilot trials and plant-level scale-ups.

Monitor industry trends and consumer preferences to fuel the innovation pipeline.

Ensure compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, and other food regulations.

Maintain documentation on formulations, costing, specifications, and SOPs.

Drive cost-reduction initiatives without affecting quality.

Requirements:
5+ years of hands-on experience in snack product development.

Expertise in food processing equipment, extrusion, coating, and flavoring technologies.

Experience collaborating with flavor houses, ingredient suppliers, and co-packers.

Knowledge of food regulatory and safety standards.
