Plan and allocate daily work to press shop operators to achieve production targets.
Supervise operations of mechanical, pneumatic.
Ensure proper usage and maintenance of dies, tools, and fixtures.
Monitor quality of components produced; conduct random checks using gauges and instruments.
Implement and enforce safety practices (two-hand press operation, guards, PPE, etc.).
Train operators on machine operation, safety, and quality requirements.
Ensure proper documentation of production, rejections, and downtime.
Coordinate with maintenance team for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
Implement 5S, Kaizen, TPM and other continuous improvement activities.
Control rejection, rework, and wastage within acceptable limits.
Report daily production and issues to higher management.
Strong knowledge of press shop operations (mechanical/pneumatic presses).
Understanding of sheet metal process, tooling, and die setting.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Leadership and manpower management skills.
Knowledge of quality systems (ISO/TS/IATF).
Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
Diploma / ITI in Mechanical / Production (Engineering preferred).
2-4 years of experience in press shop operations, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
