Job Summary:

The Tablet Coating Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining coating machines to ensure smooth production of high-quality coated tablets as per the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Key Responsibilities:

Operate tablet coating machines (Auto Coater, Conventional Coater, etc.) as per batch manufacturing records (BMR).

Prepare coating solutions/suspensions and ensure proper mixing and filtration.

Perform coating process setup, parameter setting, and in-process checks (weight gain, appearance, uniformity, etc.).

Clean and maintain coating equipment, accessories, and work area as per SOP.

Record all production data, machine parameters, and process observations accurately in logbooks.

Coordinate with production and quality assurance teams for line clearance and batch approvals.

Follow safety, hygiene, and GMP standards during all operations.

Report any equipment malfunctions or deviations immediately to the supervisor.

Participate in preventive maintenance and calibration activities as required.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education: ITI / Diploma / B.Sc. / 12th (Science background preferred)

Experience: 1 to 4 years of experience in tablet coating operations in a pharmaceutical manufacturing unit.

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of Auto Coater and coating process parameters.

Familiar with GMP, GDP, and documentation practices.

Ability to handle coating solution preparation and equipment cleaning.

Soft Skills: Attention to detail, teamwork, discipline, and safety awareness.
