Job Purpose

To efficiently operate injection moulding machines, ensure quality of molded components, minimize rejections, and meet daily production targets as per SOPs.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Machine Operation

• Set and operate injection moulding machines as per product and mold requirement

• Monitor machine cycles, temperature, pressure, and cooling times

• Ensure correct loading of raw material and proper feeding

🔹 Mould Setup & Changeover

• Assist in mold changeover during shift as per instructions

• Clean mold surfaces and ensure proper alignment during setup

• Inform maintenance in case of mold or machine faults

🔹 Quality Control

• Visually inspect parts for defects (e.g., short shot, flash, burn marks)

• Follow QC instructions for dimensional and visual parameters

• Separate rejected pieces and mark clearly for reprocessing or scrap

🔹 Production & Housekeeping

• Achieve targeted production quantity per shift

• Maintain 5S cleanliness and safety around the machine area

• Report machine downtime, material shortage, or abnormalities promptly

🔹 Documentation

• Fill daily production report (DPR) and rejection sheet

• Record mold change, material usage, and machine stoppages

• Coordinate with QC and supervisor for daily reporting

Requisite Skills

• Knowledge of injection moulding machine operations

• Ability to identify product defects and take corrective action

• Basic troubleshooting of machine alarms or mold issues

• Ability to read job cards and basic instructions

Desired Skills

• Discipline and punctuality

• Physically fit and alert during shifts

• Willingness to learn and follow safety standards

• Good communication with supervisor and team
