Roles and Responsibilities: Machine Operation and Monitoring: 1. Operate the groundnut processing and Color Sortex machines in accordance with established guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs). 2. Monitor the production process, checking for abnormalities, jams, or malfunctions in the machinery. 3. Adjust machine settings (such as speed, temperature, etc.) to ensure optimal processing and sorting performance. Quality Control: 1. Ensure that all processed and sorted products meet the specified quality standards. 2. Perform routine inspections and tests on finished products to check for defects, contamination, or any deviations from quality norms. 3. Report any quality issues promptly to supervisors or quality assurance team . Maintenance and Troubleshooting: 1. Carry out basic maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing machine parts as required. The entire Color Sortex machinery must be cleaned at the end of every shift. 2. Identify and troubleshoot any technical issues with machines and notify the maintenance team when necessary. 3. Ensure that the work area remains clean and organized at all times. Production Reporting: 1. Maintain accurate records of daily production and machine downtime, noting any issues, changes, or deviations. 2. Assist in generating regular production reports for management review. 3. Ensure proper documentation for traceability and compliance. Safety and Compliance: 1. Follow all safety guidelines and health protocols, ensuring safe working practices for self and others. 2. Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions immediately. 3. Comply with environmental and safety regulations, ensuring all operations are aligned with company policies and local regulations. Team Collaboration: 1. Work closely with other team members, and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and resolve operational issues quickly. 2. Assist in the training of new operators or other staff members as required. Continuous Improvement: 1. Suggest improvements to processes, machine performance, or product quality based on observations and experiences. 2. Participate in regular team meetings to discuss challenges and solutions for improving operational efficiency. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): ● Machine Efficiency: Percentage of time the machine operates at full capacity without interruptions. ● Quality Compliance: Number of defects or non-compliant products identified. ● Safety Compliance: Adherence to safety protocols, number of incidents, or accidents reported. ● Production Targets: Achieving production goals and deadlines consistently.
