Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions.
• Assemble machinery parts, equipment, or structures as per specifications.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to ensure precision fitting.
• Perform alignment, adjustment, and testing of assembled components.
• Identify and resolve assembly-related issues.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and care of tools and equipment.
• Follow safety standards and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
• Coordinate with the production team and supervisors for timely completion of work.
• Perform grinding operations on metal components using hand-held or bench grinders.
• Understand job requirements, specifications, and finish standards.
• Set up and operate grinding machines (surface, cylindrical, or tool grinders if required).
• Inspect workpieces for dimensions, surface finish, and accuracy using measuring tools.
• Maintain grinding tools and equipment in proper working condition.
• Follow standard operating procedures and ensure adherence to safety guidelines.
• Report defects, damages, or irregularities during grinding processes.
• Support fabrication and finishing teams as needed.
• Implement and follow 5S practices (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to maintain workplace organization and efficiency.
Requirements:
• ITI / Diploma in Fitter / Mechanical or relevant trade.
• Proven experience as an assembly fitter in manufacturing/engineering industry.
• Good knowledge of mechanical fitting, measuring instruments, and assembly techniques.
• Ability to read technical drawings and carry out precise fitting work.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Hands-on experience in grinding operations in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of grinding techniques, abrasive wheels, and material properties.
• Ability to handle measuring instruments like vernier calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Attention to detail with a focus on surface finish and accuracy.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety.
