CNC Operator
Department: Production / Manufacturing
Reports To: Production Supervisor / Manufacturing Manager
Job Summary
The CNC Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to ensure high-quality output while meeting production targets.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines (Lathe, Milling, Turning, or Multi-axis machines).
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
Load raw materials and fixtures into machines.
Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality.
Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
Inspect finished parts using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Record production data and report any deviations or defects.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment following safety guidelines.
Collaborate with supervisors and quality teams to improve processes.
Required Qualifications
Diploma / ITI / Technical Certification in Machining or a related field.
Proven experience as a CNC Operator in a manufacturing environment.
Basic knowledge of CNC programming (G-code & M-code preferred).
Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring instruments.
Understanding of machining processes and materials.
