Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer with 2 to 4 years of laboratory experience to support our engineering and product development efforts. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical testing, data collection, analysis, and prototyping within a lab or R&D environment. This role requires strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a solid foundation in mechanical systems and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical testing, prototyping, and validation of components and systems.
Operate and maintain lab equipment (e.g., tensile testers, thermal chambers, vibration tables, 3D printers, etc.).
Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data, and prepare detailed technical reports.
Assist in the design and development of mechanical parts using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Support product development from concept through testing and final validation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, quality, and manufacturing.
Ensure lab protocols, safety guidelines, and quality standards are followed at all times.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and suggest design improvements based on test outcomes.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2–4 years of hands-on lab or testing experience in an engineering environment.
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD, etc.).
Familiarity with data acquisition tools and basic programming or scripting (e.g., LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python) is a plus.
Understanding of materials science, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mechanical systems.
Strong analytical, documentation, and technical communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Commitment to safety and quality control in a lab setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with product validation, failure analysis, or environmental testing.
Exposure to ISO/ASTM testing standards or quality management systems.
Familiarity with statistical analysis and Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.
