Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Chemist to join our Ferro Alloys Plant. The Chemist will be responsible for conducting laboratory analysis of raw materials, alloys, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards. The role requires strong technical knowledge of ferro alloys, metallurgical processes, and analytical chemistry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized chemical analysis of raw materials, intermediate, and final products (Mn, FeMn, SiMn, etc.).

• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as Spectrometer, AAS, ICP, Carbon-Sulphur Analyzer, Flame Photometer, and Titration units.

• Ensure quality control at different stages of ferro alloys production.

• Prepare and maintain accurate lab reports, records, and documentation.

• Calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to maintain precision.

• Conduct R&D trials for process improvements and cost optimization.

• Ensure adherence to ISO/quality management systems and lab safety protocols.

• Support production teams with timely test results and feedback.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry (preferably with specialization in Inorganic/Analytical Chemistry).

• Experience: 2–5 years in Ferro Alloys / Steel / Metallurgical plant laboratory.

• Knowledge of ferro alloys chemistry, metallurgical testing, and quality control norms.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office and lab software tools.

• Ability to work in shifts as per plant requirements.

Key Competencies:

• Eye for detail and accuracy in chemical analysis.

• Strong knowledge of safety practices in chemical handling.

• Team player with good communication skills.

• Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
