*Computer Hardware Engineer - Field Support Job Description*
A Computer Hardware Engineer in Field Support is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing computer hardware systems, CCTV systems, and network infrastructure at customer sites. They ensure that systems are functioning properly and provide technical support to customers.
*Key Responsibilities:*
- *Installation and Configuration*: Install and configure computer hardware systems, including servers, desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- *Troubleshooting and Repair*: Troubleshoot and repair hardware issues, including diagnosing and resolving problems with motherboards, processors, memory, and other components.
- *Laptop/Desktop Repair*: Repair and maintain laptops and desktops, including hardware upgrades, screen replacements, and other component repairs.
- *CCTV Installation and Support*: Install, configure, and troubleshoot CCTV systems, including cameras, recorders, and monitoring equipment.
- *Network Troubleshooting*: Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi connectivity problems.
- *Customer Support*: Provide technical support to customers, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- *On-Site Support*: Travel to customer sites to provide on-site support and repair services.
- *Documentation*: Document repair activities, including writing reports and updating customer records.
*Requirements:*
- *Education*: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- *Experience*: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in computer hardware engineering, networking, or related field.
- *Technical Skills*:
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware systems, including servers, desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Familiarity with operating systems and software applications.
- Knowledge of CCTV systems, including camera types, recording devices, and monitoring software.
- Understanding of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network protocols.
