Reporting To: Housekeeping Supervisor / Facility Manager
To ensure a clean, hygienic, and safe environment in the hospital by maintaining patient rooms, wards, ICUs, operation theatres, and common areas as per infection control and hospital housekeeping standards.
Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms, wards, ICUs, OPDs, waiting areas, washrooms, and corridors.
Perform dusting, sweeping, mopping, and sanitization of assigned areas.
Handle biomedical waste and general waste as per hospital protocols.
Disinfect high-touch surfaces, medical equipment (non-clinical cleaning), and furniture regularly.
Ensure timely change of bed sheets, pillow covers, and hospital linens.
Assist in laundry collection and distribution of cleaned linens.
Follow infection prevention and control (IPC) guidelines strictly.
Report maintenance issues (plumbing, electrical, damages) to supervisors.
Maintain cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies in good condition.
Support nursing and hospital staff in maintaining a safe patient care environment.
Minimum 8th/10th pass (can be relaxed for experienced staff).
Prior housekeeping experience in a hospital/healthcare setup preferred.
Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitization practices.
Understanding of biomedical waste segregation.
Attention to detail and discipline.
Physical stamina for long working hours.
Ability to follow instructions and SOPs carefully.
Hospital premises including wards, OTs, ICUs, and general areas.
Shift duties including weekends and public holidays.
