We are seeking a highly creative and energetic Graphic Designer specializing in vibrant, child-friendly visuals to join our Kids' YouTube content team. This role is crucial for maximizing our video performance by designing eye-catching, high-CTR thumbnails and maintaining a fun, consistent brand aesthetic that appeals directly to children and their parents.
Key Responsibilities
1. Thumbnail & Video Assets (Primary Focus)
Design High-CTR Thumbnails: Conceptualize and rapidly create engaging, colorful, and expressive video thumbnails that drive clicks and views.
Utilize bright, appealing colors, expressive cartoon faces/characters, and clear, bold typography (fonts).
Design specifically for mobile viewing, where most children consume content.
A/B Testing: Create 2-3 design variations (A/B testing candidates) per video to identify the most effective visual concepts based on performance data.
In-Video Graphics: Design on-screen graphics, animated text overlays, lower thirds, and call-to-action elements used within the videos.
Asset Management: Create and maintain a library of reusable characters, backgrounds, props, and design elements to ensure rapid production.
2. Channel Branding & Identity
Brand Kit: Design and maintain all channel branding elements, including the channel banner, profile picture/logo, end screens, and watermarks.
Visual Strategy: Ensure the channel's visual style is consistent, age-appropriate, and aligned with educational or entertainment goals for children aged [Specify Age Range, e.g., 3-8].
3. Collaboration & Analytics
Content Alignment: Collaborate closely with the video editors and writers to understand the narrative, emotional beats, and key selling points of each video to translate them into visuals.
Performance Review: Actively track thumbnail performance (CTR, viewer duration) and apply data-driven insights to improve future designs.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Proven professional experience (minimum 3-5 years) in Graphic Design, with a strong focus on YouTube thumbnails or children's media/animation is highly preferred.
Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating work that is bright, dynamic, and effective for engaging a young audience.
Software Proficiency: Expert proficiency in industry-standard tools:
Adobe Photoshop (for rapid compositing and photo manipulation).
Adobe Illustrator (for vector graphics and clean character/logo design).
Visual Skills:
Deep understanding of color psychology and effective composition for children's content.
A flair for cartoon illustration and expressive character posing/cutouts.
Excellent typography skills for maximum clarity and impact on small screens.
