Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and design packaging artworks (cartons, labels, inserts, marketing collaterals).
Work with clients and marketing team to understand design briefs and translate them into final outputs.
Prepare and modify print-ready files as per printing requirements (offset, flexo, digital, CTP).
Ensure keyline/ dieline creation and placement with accurate bleed, crop marks, and trapping.
Perform job imposition, layout adjustment, and pre-press corrections.
Coordinate with CTP/Pre-Press team for smooth plate-making and proofing.
Conduct color matching and proof approval with printing team for consistent results.
Maintain an organized database of all artworks and design files.
Stay updated with latest design trends and packaging innovations.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign.
Good knowledge of pre-press standards (CMYK, Pantone colors, trapping, overprinting, etc.).
Experience in keyline/dieline setting and job imposition.
Understanding of paper, board & substrate limitations in printing.
Eye for detail, creativity, and strong visualization skills.
Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple design projects simultaneously.
Good communication and coordination with internal teams (marketing, production, clients).
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in Graphic Designing/ Visual Arts/ Printing Technology.
2–3 years of relevant experience in a printing & packaging company or studio.
Preferred Experience:
Designing in packaging & printing industry (mono cartons, corrugated, FMCG packaging).
Familiarity with CTP workflows and DFE software.
Knowledge of color proofing and print quality standards.
