Key Responsibilities:
System Design: Lead the design of electrical systems for automation projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Create detailed control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and schematics to guide the implementation of automated machinery.
Component Selection: Specify and select electrical components such as sensors, actuators, motors, and controllers based on project requirements. Evaluate and choose hardware for control systems with a focus on reliability and performance.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and software engineers, to seamlessly integrate electrical systems into overall automation solutions. Provide support to control system programmers to ensure effective synergy between electrical and software components.
Testing and Validation: Develop and implement testing procedures to validate the functionality and reliability of electrical systems. Collaborate with the testing team to identify and resolve any electrical issues during the testing phase.
Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for electrical designs, including drawings, specifications, and manuals. Maintain accurate records of design changes throughout the project lifecycle.
