Educational Qualification: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
Industry Knowledge: Good understanding of FMCG products and consumer buying behavior. Knowledge of local market dynamics and retail distribution models.
Sales Experience:2+ years of experience in field sales, preferably in the FMCG sector. Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal communication skills for engaging with retailers and customers. Ability to build rapport and maintain long-term relationships.
Negotiation and Persuasion Skills: Capable of convincing retailers and distributors to stock and promote products. Skilled in handling objections and closing sales effectively.
Route and Territory Management: Experience in managing assigned sales territory efficiently. Knowledge of route planning and customer segmentation.
Organizational Tools: Familiarity with CRM tools or mobile sales applications for order taking and reporting. Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel for tracking sales data).
Mobility and Local Knowledge: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally or regionally. Good knowledge of the assigned area/territory, including customer base and distribution points.
Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, target-driven, and disciplined. Resilient under pressure and able to handle rejection professionally.
Product Promotion and Merchandising: Experience in in-store visibility execution, POS material usage, and product display techniques.
