Job Overview:
The Business Development Executive (BDE) in the FMCG category at Udaan is responsible for expanding business by onboarding new retailers/wholesalers, driving sales volume, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring smooth execution of daily operations in the assigned territory. The role focuses on B2B sales within the FMCG market.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, acquire, and onboard FMCG retailers, wholesalers, and distributors.
Promote Udaan’s FMCG products, offers, schemes, and credit options to customers.
Achieve daily/weekly/monthly sales targets and improve category penetration.
Maintain strong relationships with existing buyers to increase repeat orders.
Conduct regular market visits to understand demand, competitor activity, and pricing trends.
Ensure proper order booking, follow-up, and timely delivery coordination.
Work closely with internal teams (logistics, credit, category, operations) to resolve customer issues.
Provide market insights and feedback to the category and business teams.
Maintain and update sales reports, customer data, and activity trackers.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred (any stream).
1–3 years of experience in FMCG sales, distribution, or B2B business development.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Good knowledge of local FMCG market and customer network.
Ability to handle field sales independently.
Basic computer proficiency (Excel, CRM tools).

Strong problem-solving and customer-handling skills.
Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
Experience in FMCG retail/wholesale ecosystem is an added advantage.
