Job Description: Business Development Executive (Offline Center Expansion) – Tamilnadu
Title : Business Development Executive (Offline Center Expansion) – Tamilnadu Location : Based anywhere in Tamilnadu (Chennai, Tier-2/3 cities preferred);
Frequent local travel required Reporting To : Business Development Manager (BDM) Key
Responsibilities - Lead Generation & Outreach: Identify and generate leads for new offline learning center opportunities in target cities and towns across Telangana. - Local Market Mapping: Research and map potential high-footfall areas, competitor centers, and understand student/family needs in the region. -
Site Evaluation & Support: Assist with shortlisting and initial evaluation of potential properties for center expansion (visit sites, collect details, initial negotiation). -
Stakeholder Engagement: Build rapport with school principals, tuition hubs, local community leaders, property agents, and vendors to facilitate partnerships and site acquisition. -
Enrollment Drive: Proactively promote new centers to schools and local communities; organize and execute local events, seminars, and info sessions to generate awareness and student inquiries. -
Pipeline Management & Reporting: Maintain pipeline of prospects in CRM; track outreach, visits, status, and report weekly progress to BDM/Regional Head. - Support Center Launch: Coordinate with operations and marketing teams for smooth launch, handover, and initial setup activities at new centers. -
Market Feedback: Gather feedback from prospective students, parents, and partners to inform sales strategy and center customization. Required Skills & Competencies - Regional Understanding: Familiarity with Telangana’s education sector and local market dynamics. -
Sales Acumen: Target-driven, energetic, and persuasive with prior experience in B2C field sales or education sales preferred. - Strong Communication: Fluency in Tamil and English; able to confidently present, negotiate, and build relationships at all levels. - Initiative & Resourcefulness: Self-starter, capable of handling fieldwork, identifying opportunities, and solving problems independently. -
Collaboration: Works well with cross-functional teams—BDM, marketing, operations, real estate. - Adaptability: Comfortable with a fast-paced, target-driven startup/scale-up environment. - Technology Use: Basic proficiency in Google Docs,sheets,ppt and MS Office for reporting and planning.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in any field; education, management, or marketing preferred. - 1–4 years’ experience in field sales, business development, center expansion, or related functions. - Regional language (Tamil) is mandatory.
Performance Goals - Target: Generate qualified leads/shortlists for 2–3 new centers per quarter. - Deliver: Meet monthly outreach and site visit targets.
