Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Area Sales Manager to oversee and expand our sales operations in the bakery and ice cream segment. The role involves client engagement, technical solution support, dealer coordination, and sales team management across the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:
Visit bakery and ice cream clients to demonstrate products and explain applications.
Conduct field sales visits, manage order intake, and monitor supply through dealerships.
Address and resolve client-side technical issues related to production processes.
Deploy technical personnel strategically to focus on key products and drive orders.
Plan and execute events, demos, and promotions in the assigned territory.
Maintain accurate daily and monthly sales reports and documentation.
Participate in pan-India exhibitions and trade shows as required.
Travel 15–20 days/month within the assigned zone for business development.
Ensure optimum stock levels at dealer locations to meet market demand.
Manage and close business deals through negotiation and coordination.
Maintain strict confidentiality of client and company information.
Business Communication & Market Engagement:
Follow up on new business leads and set up client meetings.
Prepare and deliver impactful product presentations.
Communicate new product developments to prospective clients.
Oversee the development of marketing collateral and sales literature.
Write detailed business reports and provide actionable feedback to management.
Requisite Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Graduate or PG/MBA in Marketing (preferred)
Experience: 3–5 years in FMCG, FMCD, Agro, or B2B sales
Prior experience in the Bakery or Ice Cream industry is highly desirable
Strong business acumen and understanding of sales and marketing principles
Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong reporting, documentation, and follow-up capabilities
High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential data
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
