The Sales Officer will be responsible for managing distributors and driving secondary sales across assigned retail markets. The role involves ensuring product availability, visibility, and consistent order generation from retail outlets while maintaining strong relationships with distributors and retailers.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and develop assigned distributor networks to achieve monthly sales targets.
Visit retail outlets daily to generate orders and ensure product availability.
Ensure proper distribution, visibility, and merchandising of products at retail points.
Monitor distributor stock levels, secondary sales, claims, and billing.
Coordinate with distributors’ salesmen for beat planning and coverage.
Identify new retail outlets and expand market reach.
Track competitor activity, pricing, schemes, and market trends.
Ensure compliance with company policies, schemes, and trade promotions.
Resolve retailer and distributor issues promptly.
Provide daily/weekly sales reports to the sales manager.
Support execution of market activations and promotional activities.
Key Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of FMCG distribution & retail operations
Good communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work in the field and achieve sales targets
Relationship-building and problem-solving skills
Basic understanding of billing, stock, and sales reports
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in FMCG sales (Distributor–Retail handling mandatory)
Graduate preferred
Two-wheeler with a valid driving license is an advantage
