Merchandiser Job Description

We are looking for a MERCHANT to join GRYAPE as we expand our apparel operations. This role focuses on coordinating between the brand and the factory to ensure smooth sampling, production, and timely execution of all merchandising activities. The position offers an in-hand salary of 18,000 - 22,000 and the opportunity to work on high-quality fashion and apparel projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary bridge between the brand and the factory for all product-related communication.

• Coordinate sampling, approvals, production timelines, and delivery schedules.

• Prepare and maintain tech packs, BOMs, measurement sheets, and production files.

• Follow up with vendors and suppliers for trims, fabrics, and sample statuses.

• Ensure quality standards are met at each stage—sampling, pre-production, and final production.

• Monitor order progress and highlight delays or issues proactively.

• Assist in costing, consumption calculation, and negotiation with vendors.

• Maintain documentation—POs, approvals, comments, and production reports.

• Collaborate with the design team to translate ideas into executable products.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum qualification: Diploma , Graduation

• Experience: 6 months in merchandising, garment production, or related fields.

• Strong understanding of sampling, and production processes.

• Ability to coordinate with factories, vendors, and internal teams efficiently.

• Knowledge of fabrics, trims, printing, embroidery, and basic quality control.

• Proficiency in Excel

• Strong communication, follow-up, and documentation skills.
