Testing Engineer – Job Details

Role:
A Testing Engineer is responsible for testing, commissioning, and maintaining electrical equipment to ensure safety, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform testing of switchgear, relays, transformers, CT/PT, and cables.

• Carry out protection relay testing (numerical and electromechanical).

• Operate testing kits such as Omicron, Megger, TTR, Primary & Secondary injection kits.

• Prepare test reports and documentation.

• Support in commissioning of substations and panels.

• Troubleshoot faults in LV/HV systems.

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of electrical protection systems.

• Hands-on experience with testing instruments.

• Ability to read single line diagrams and protection schemes.

• Safety awareness during high-voltage work.
