Estimation and Billing Engineer

We are looking for an Job Title to join our team Company Name. The tasks will include installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in buildings and houses. The position offers an in-hand salary of In Hand Salary and growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on-site to track progress of electrical work (cable laying, switchgear/panel installation, lighting, earthing, power distribution etc).

• Review electrical drawings, BOQs, site measurement books (MB), and contract specifications.

• Take off quantities from site records & drawings, reconcile with BOQ and actual work executed.

• Prepare and certify monthly/periodic running bills, additional claims/variations, final bills for electrical scope.

• Coordinate with site engineers, project engineers, procurement and accounts to collect measurement sheets, material invoices, rate analysis and supporting documentation.

• Validate electrical rates (material, labour, equipment/subcontractor) as per BOQ and contract.

• Maintain records of bills submitted, payments due, variations, claims, and ensure timely submission for payment.

• Monitor contract amendments, variation orders and change in scope and ensure these are billed appropriately.

• Assist in cost reconciliation between estimated vs actual and highlight variances.

• Use MS Excel (and other billing/ERP tools) to maintain billing spreadsheets, track payment schedules, pending invoices and work progress.

• Ensure compliance with contract terms, billing norms (RA bills, advance bills, final bills), subcontractor billing and invoice certification.

• Work closely with finance/accounts team to ensure timely release of payments and resolve billing discrepancies.

• Provide periodic reports to Project Manager / Billing Manager on billing status, cash‐flow impact, pending variations and claims.

• Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics (with strong relevant experience).

• Experience (typically 2-6 years, or as per your requirement) in on-site billing for electrical works in construction/MEP/EPC projects.

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and ability to read and interpret electrical drawings (single line, wiring diagrams, layouts) and specifications.

• Familiarity with BOQ preparation or at least ability to understand and work with BOQ items and site measurements.

• Proficiency in MS Excel (billing spreadsheets, pivot tables, etc.), MS Word; experience with billing software/ERP is a plus.

• Good analytical, numerical and documentation skills; attention to detail and accuracy in billing work.

• Strong coordination and communication skills to work with site, procurement, finance, and subcontractor teams.

• Ability to work on-site, manage deadlines, handle multiple bills/variations concurrently and adapt to changing field conditions.

• Understanding of commercial / contractual terms in billing, claim preparation, variation billing is a plus.

Job Requirements:

The minimum qualification for this role is Minimum Qualification and Experience Range. Complete knowledge of safety procedures, the ability to understand electrical drawings/blueprints, critical thinking, and problem-solving ability are a must.
