Vehicle Electrical System Maintenance
Diagnose and repair electrical faults in LCV & HCV vehicles (trucks, compactors, tippers, loaders, sweepers, etc.).
Work on wiring, alternators, batteries, sensors, relays, lights, and ignition systems.
Maintain GPS units, cameras, and other electronic monitoring devices installed in fleet vehicles.
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
Schedule and perform preventive checks on electrical parts of the fleet to avoid sudden breakdowns.
Ensure backup systems (like warning lights, alarms, hydraulic control wiring) are functional.
Support to Vehicle Operations
Ensure headlights, brake lights, indicators, and safety lights are always operational.
Maintain power systems for compactors, hydraulic controls, and other specialized waste-handling attachments.
Workshop & Team Leadership
Supervise junior electricians and helpers in the workshop.
Guide mechanics when electrical issues are linked with mechanical systems.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with RTO, pollution, and safety standards regarding vehicle electrics.
Train drivers and operators on basic electrical safety (e.g., handling battery issues).
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain service logs for electrical repairs.
Report recurring issues and recommend system improvements.
