Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy trucks (e.g., 18-wheeler, 24-wheeler, or articulated vehicles) to transport cargo safely and on time.
Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues before and after trips; perform basic maintenance as required.
Follow all applicable traffic laws, weight limits, and transportation regulations.
Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel use, repairs, and deliveries using logbooks or electronic systems.
Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring goods are secured properly to prevent damage.
Communicate with dispatchers and warehouse staff for efficient routing and delivery.
Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to route schedules.
Report accidents, incidents, delays, or mechanical issues promptly to management.
