Job Description: Sales Executive – Showroom (Jewellery Retail)
Position Overview
The Sales Executive plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving showroom sales, and representing the brand’s core values. As the first point of interaction with customers, the Sales Executive ensures smooth store operations, accurate stock handling, and compliance with company policies while maintaining a polished and professional appearance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Customer Service
Welcome and engage customers with respect, courtesy, and professionalism.
Provide accurate product information, demonstrate jewellery features, and assist customers in making informed choices.
Promote and upsell products, schemes, and offers to achieve and exceed individual and showroom sales targets.
Handle customer queries, concerns, and complaints promptly and effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Support the showroom manager in closing high-value sales whenever required.
2. Inventory Management
Handle stock daily, including counting, tallying, and maintaining accurate records.
Ensure safe handling, proper storage, and security of jewellery stock.
Update barcodes, product tags, and maintain error-free stock documentation.
Assist in daily stock audits and reconciliation as per company policy.
3. Visual Merchandising & Grooming
Maintain showroom counters, shelves, and displays in a neat and attractive manner.
Ensure jewellery is displayed as per company’s visual merchandising guidelines.
Keep sales counters stocked with catalogues, brochures, and other sales materials.
Adhere to personal grooming and uniform standards as per brand guidelines.
4. Old Gold / URD Purchases
Execute purchase transactions of old gold/URD strictly as per company protocols.
Ensure accurate valuation, documentation, and compliance with applicable laws.
5. Compliance & Policy Adherence
Follow company policies for billing, payments, discounts, and schemes.
Complete all KYC (Know Your Customer) documentation accurately and maintain customer records.
Ensure compliance with security and operational guidelines.
6. Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
Build rapport with customers to enhance loyalty and repeat business.
Maintain customer databases for birthdays, anniversaries, and special occasions.
Reach out to customers for festive offers, schemes, and showroom promotions.
Collect customer feedback and share insights with management for service improvement.
7. Order Management & Follow-up
Record customer orders accurately in registers and order books.
Coordinate with the order department for timely updates and deliveries.
Follow up with customers on pending or customized orders.
8. Collaboration & Teamwork
Work closely with colleagues and managers to ensure smooth operations.
Share customer feedback and product requirements with management.
Support colleagues during high footfall, events, and promotional activities.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & non-verbal).
Knowledge of jewellery products, including gold, diamond, and precious stones.
Sales-driven mindset with the ability to upsell and cross-sell.
Customer-centric approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
Basic knowledge of POS systems, billing, and MS Office.
Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Graduate in any stream (Commerce/Marketing preferred).
1–3 years of experience in retail sales (Jewellery or luxury retail preferred).
Work Conditions
Location: Showroom-based (as per branch requirement).
Work Hours: As per showroom operating timings, including weekends and holidays.
Reporting To: Showroom Manager / Assistant Manager.
