Job Title: Counsellor – Blood Bank

Required Qualifications: Master’s in Social Work (MSW), Sociology, or Psychology

Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Blood Bank Counsellors across multiple locations in West Bengal. The Counsellor will play a vital role in promoting voluntary blood donation, conducting donor education and motivation, and providing pre- and post-donation counselling to ensure donor well-being and satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a background in social or psychological sciences, and a commitment to public health and community service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-on-one and group counselling sessions to encourage voluntary blood donation.

• Educate donors and the general public on the importance of regular and safe blood donation.

• Provide pre-donation counselling to assess donor eligibility and address concerns.

• Offer post-donation support and guidance to ensure donor safety and comfort.

• Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to counselling sessions and donor feedback.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community organizations to organize blood donation drives.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good organizational and record-keeping abilities

• Fluency in local languages (Bengali, Hindi) is preferred
