Job Title: IVF/Fertility Centre Counselor

Job Summary:

The IVF/Fertility Centre Counselor provides emotional, psychological, and informational support to individuals and couples undergoing fertility treatments. The counselor plays a critical role in guiding patients through the complexities of assisted reproductive technologies (ART), helping them cope with stress, make informed decisions, and maintain emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and couple counseling to patients undergoing fertility evaluation and treatment.

• Educate patients about IVF/ICSI, IUI, egg/sperm donation, surrogacy, and other ART procedures.

• Conduct psychological assessments and readiness evaluations where required (e.g., for gamete donation or surrogacy cases).

• Support patients with decision-making regarding treatment options.

• Help manage stress, anxiety, grief, or relationship strain associated with infertility and treatment outcomes.

• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in counseling practice.

• Coordinate with medical and nursing teams to ensure holistic patient care.

• Conduct support groups, workshops, and educational sessions for patients.

• Maintain accurate and timely counseling records and reports.

• Assist in developing patient education materials and counseling protocols.

• Stay updated with the latest developments in reproductive medicine and counseling practices.
