Job Title: Collection Executive – Loan Recovery
Department: Collections / Recovery
Reports to: Collection Manager / Recovery Manager
Job Purpose:
To ensure timely recovery of loans and outstanding dues from customers, maintain healthy portfolio quality, and minimize delinquency by following company guidelines, compliance, and customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Contact customers through phone calls, field visits, and other channels to remind them of pending dues and recover payments.
Negotiate repayment schedules and settlements in line with company policies.
Maintain regular follow-ups with delinquent customers to achieve monthly collection targets.
Update and maintain accurate records of interactions, payments, and commitments in the system.
Coordinate with legal and recovery teams for escalation of chronic/default cases.
Ensure compliance with RBI regulations, company policies, and fair debt collection practices.
Build rapport with customers to encourage repayment and resolve queries regarding loan accounts.
Report daily/weekly/monthly collection status to managers.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Persuasion and problem-solving ability.
Knowledge of loan products, collections, and recovery process.
Ability to handle pressure and meet targets.
Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, loan management systems).
Willingness to travel for field collections (if required).
Qualification & Experience:
Minimum: 12th Pass / Graduate preferred.
0–1 years of experience in loan collections/recovery, preferably in NBFCs, Banks, or Microfinance.
Freshers with good communication skills may also apply.
