Job Summary:
The Commis II is responsible for assisting the senior chefs in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes while maintaining kitchen standards. The role involves learning different cooking methods, supporting daily operations, and ensuring food quality and hygiene standards are met.
Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food under the guidance of the Chef de Partie/Commis I.
Follow standard recipes and portion control to maintain consistency.
Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and available for daily requirements.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation and kitchen area.
Assist in receiving, checking, and storing deliveries.
Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
Support in minimizing waste and ensuring proper use of ingredients.
Work as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Be willing to learn new skills and cooking techniques as instructed by senior chefs.
Previous experience in a similar role or training in a professional kitchen (preferred but not mandatory).
Basic knowledge of cooking methods and kitchen equipment.
Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong team player with good communication skills.
Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays
