Role Summary

We are hiring skilled Commis I chefs for Indian, Chinese, and Continental sections. The role involves preparing high-quality dishes under the guidance of the Chef de Partie (CDP) and Sous Chef, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation, and ensuring hygiene standards in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes in the assigned section (Indian / Chinese / Continental).

• Follow recipes, portion sizes, and standards set by the CDP and Head Chef.

• Ensure timely preparation of orders during service.

• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards (FSSAI compliance).

• Properly store raw materials and cooked food to prevent spoilage.

• Minimize wastage and practice FIFO (First In, First Out) method.

• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment (tandoor, wok, grill, oven, fryer, etc.) as per the section.

• Support banquet and bulk production requirements when needed.

• Assist in stock checks and inform seniors about shortages.

• Uphold high standards of grooming, discipline, and teamwork.

Requirements

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Commis I in Indian, Chinese, or Continental cuisine.

• Strong knowledge of respective section (curries, tandoor, wok cooking, stir-fry, sauces, pasta, grills, etc.).

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.

• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
