Customer Service & Sales
Greeting and assisting customers:
Welcome guests, answer questions about the menu and specials, and provide general assistance.
Taking orders:
Accurately record customer orders for dine-in or takeout using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Resolving issues:
Handle customer complaints, returns, and exchanges, and provide positive customer service.
Financial Transactions
Processing payments: Accurately accept cash, credit, and other forms of payment.
Managing the register: Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts, ensuring accuracy.
Issuing receipts: Provide customers with receipts for their transactions.
Processing discounts: Apply discounts, coupons, and process returns as needed.
Operational Duties
Maintaining the workspace: Keep the cashier station and surrounding areas clean and organized.
Menu knowledge: Stay updated on menu items, pricing, and specials to answer customer inquiries and assist with orders.
Assisting other staff: Help with packaging takeout orders, restocking, or assisting kitchen staff during peak hours.
Using the POS system: Operate the point-of-sale system to process orders and payments.
