Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically competent Technical Purchase Executive to manage procurement of electrical components and materials required for panel manufacturing. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in sourcing electrical items, evaluating suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery, while maintaining quality standards and cost-efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers for electrical components (switchgear, busbars, cables, enclosures, meters, relays, etc.).
Prepare and issue purchase orders based on project BOMs and production requirements.
Read and understand technical specifications and panel drawings to ensure correct material procurement.
Compare and analyze quotations from suppliers and negotiate for best price, quality, and delivery terms.
Maintain minimum inventory levels, track stock availability, and plan procurement schedules.
Ensure on-time delivery of materials and resolve any issues related to delays, quality, or discrepancies.
Coordinate with design, production, and quality departments to understand technical requirements.
Keep updated with market trends and price fluctuations in electrical products.
Maintain proper records of purchases, invoices, and supplier performance.
Required Qualifications:
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or relevant field.
2–5 years of experience in technical purchase/procurement in electrical panel or switchgear industry.
Good understanding of electrical components, specifications, and standards (IS/IEC).
Proficient in MS Office, ERP, or procurement management software.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with reputed brands (ABB, Schneider, Siemens, L&T, etc.).
Knowledge of customs, GST, and logistics will be an added advantage.
Familiarity with BOM, MTO, and vendor development processes
