Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Management: Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.
Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with company standards.
Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and manage stock to prevent shortages or excesses.
Cost Management: Analyse market trends, assess pricing, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all purchased materials meet the required specifications and standards.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align procurement activities with project timelines and requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the construction industry.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
