Job Description: Purchase Executive
Location: Manufacturing Unit
Reporting Manager: General Manager
Roles & Responsibilities:
Ø Research potential vendors.
Ø Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers.
Ø Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing. Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
Ø Review the quality of purchased products.
Ø Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases.
Ø Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices.
Ø Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
Ø Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
Ø Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage.
Ø Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
Ø Assist senior buyers with the preparation and processing of purchase orders.
Ø Track the status of orders and ensure the timely delivery of goods.
Ø Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
Ø Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers.
Ø Assist with the evaluation of supplier proposals and quotations.
Ø Expedite orders and resolve any delivery issues.
Ø Assist with inventory management and stock control.
Ø Perform basic cost analysis and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
Ø Support the procurement team in achieving departmental goals and objectives.
Skills & Requirements:
Ø Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Ø 3 - 5 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain role.
Ø Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ø Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ø Basic understanding of procurement principles and practices.
Ø Proven work experience as a purchasing Officer, purchasing agent or similar role.
Ø Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors).
Ø Understanding of supply chain procedures.
Ø Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.
Ø Negotiation skills.
Ø Diploma in Logistics, Business Administration or a relevant field.
