Source and procure pharmaceutical raw materials, APIs, excipients, and packaging materials from approved vendors.
Obtain and evaluate quotations, negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions with suppliers.
Coordinate with QA/QC, production, and regulatory teams to ensure materials meet required specifications and compliance standards.
Ensure all procurement activities follow applicable pharmaceutical regulations (e.g., GMP, GDP) and internal SOPs.
Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier agreements, and inventory levels.
Track order status, ensure timely delivery, and follow up on pending deliveries or quality issues.
Assist in vendor evaluation and onboarding of new suppliers.
Prepare reports on purchasing metrics, costs, and supplier performance for management review.
Coordinate with finance for timely invoice processing and payment.
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Science, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical procurement or sourcing.
Good knowledge of pharmaceutical materials, regulatory requirements, and GMP practices.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other procurement tools).
Attention to detail and ability to work under tight timelines.
Knowledge of import/export procedures and documentation for pharmaceutical materials.
Familiarity with vendor audits and regulatory inspections.
Certification in supply chain or procurement (e.g., CIPS, CSCP) is a plus.
