Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Operations:

• Source and procure, consumables, spare parts, and related to iron and beneficiation plant operations.

• Prepare and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs), evaluate quotations, and negotiate terms with suppliers.

• Finalize purchase orders (POs) ensuring price, quality, and delivery terms align with company requirements.

• Import and Export of materials knowledge as well communication with overseas vendor’s experience.

  2. Vendor Management:

• Identify and onboard new suppliers, conduct vendor evaluations, and maintain an approved vendor list.

• Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery and resolve discrepancies related to quantity, quality, or delivery.

3. Inventory Coordination:

• Work closely with the stores and production departments to track material consumption and ensure uninterrupted supply.

• Monitor minimum stock levels and initiate procurement accordingly to avoid production delays.

  4. Documentation and Compliance:

• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, delivery challans, invoices, and material inward records.

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including GST, environmental norms, and company policies.

  5. Cost Optimization:

• Explore cost-saving opportunities through bulk buying, vendor development, and alternate sourcing strategies.

• Support cost control initiatives by identifying opportunities to reduce procurement spend.

  6. Coordination & Communication:

• Liaise with finance for vendor payments and with logistics for material delivery tracking.

• Support internal audits and provide relevant procurement data for analysis and reporting.
