The Document Verification Officer is responsible for reviewing, validating, and authenticating documents submitted by clients, customers, or employees to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The role involves working with confidential information and maintaining high attention to detail and integrity.
Review and verify identity documents (e.g., passport, driver's license, national ID) for authenticity and consistency.
Cross-check data across various documents and databases to confirm accuracy.
Identify and report fraudulent, forged, or tampered documents.
Maintain accurate records of all verified documents in internal systems.
Liaise with internal teams and external agencies (when required) for document clarification or escalation.
Ensure all verifications are completed within specified timelines and according to SOPs.
Adhere to data privacy, confidentiality, and security protocols at all times.
Generate regular reports on document verification status and issues encountered.
High school diploma or bachelor’s degree (preferred).
Proven experience in data entry, compliance, or administrative roles.
Familiarity with document types and verification tools or methods.
Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies.
Proficient in using computers, scanners, and data entry software.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and handle confidential information.
Prior experience in KYC/AML, HR onboarding, or financial services.
Knowledge of regional/international document standards (e.g., ICAO-compliant IDs).
Multilingual skills (optional but beneficial depending on the region).
