A Banking Assistant supports the daily operations of the bank by assisting customers with transactions, maintaining records, and providing administrative support to the branch staff. The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and strong customer service skills to ensure smooth banking operations.
Greet and assist customers with inquiries regarding accounts, deposits, withdrawals, and other services.
Process routine banking transactions such as cash deposits, withdrawals, cheque processing, and fund transfers.
Support the branch in account opening, documentation, and KYC (Know Your Customer) compliance.
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and customer interactions.
Assist in cross-selling banking products (savings accounts, loans, cards, insurance, etc.).
Handle phone calls, emails, and customer correspondence in a professional manner.
Ensure compliance with bank policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
Provide administrative support to branch managers and other officers as required.
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and basic banking software.
High attention to detail and ability to work with numbers accurately.
Problem-solving skills and customer-oriented approach.
