Fire Hydrant Estimation BOQ Preparation & AutoCAD Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled professional with experience in Fire Hydrant System estimation, BOQ preparation, and AutoCAD drafting. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, technical drawings, and documentation for fire hydrant and fire protection system projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare estimation and costing for Fire Hydrant Systems, Fire Protection Systems, and related projects.

• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on project drawings, specifications, and site requirements.

• Create and modify AutoCAD drawings, layout plans, schematic diagrams, and equipment details.

• Coordinate with vendors to obtain rate quotations, technical specifications, and material details.

• Prepare technical submittals, work schedules, and material lists.

• Support the project execution team with drawings, revisions, and documentation.

• Conduct site visits when required to verify dimensions and ensure design accuracy.

• Ensure all designs and BOQ are as per NFPA / IS standards and project compliance.

• Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and procurement teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Fire & Safety, or relevant engineering field.

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in Estimation & AutoCAD drafting for Fire Hydrant / Fire Protection systems.

• Strong knowledge of Fire Hydrant system components (pumps, pipes, valves, fittings, sprinklers, etc.).

• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D); knowledge of Revit or Firefighting software is a plus.

• Excellent in Excel, BOQ preparation, and reading technical drawings.

• Knowledge of IS / NBC / NFPA codes will be preferred.

• Strong communication and documentation skills.
