Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman to join our construction company. The Draftsman will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed technical drawings, plans, and blueprints to support construction and design projects. This role is critical in ensuring that projects meet design specifications, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drafting and Design:

   • Prepare technical drawings and plans based on architectural and engineering specifications.

   • Convert rough sketches, designs, and concepts into detailed AutoCAD or similar software drawings.

2. Collaboration:

   • Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop and refine design plans.

   • Incorporate feedback to ensure designs meet project requirements and standards.

3. Documentation and Standards:

   • Maintain accurate documentation of drawings and revisions.

   • Ensure that all designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.

4. Site Coordination:

   • Support the construction team by providing clarification on drawings during project execution.

   • Conduct site visits, if necessary, to ensure adherence to designs.

5. Software Proficiency:

   • Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.)

   • Stay updated on the latest design software and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma or degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of drafting experience in construction, architecture, or engineering.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting software.

  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes.

  • Knowledge of building codes and standards.

• Soft Skills:

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
