Key Responsibilities:
Design and Modeling:
Develop 2D and 3D CAD models of compressor components like cylinders, pistons, and valve assemblies, using AutoCAD.
Drawing Creation and Management:
Generate and maintain accurate technical drawings, including assembly drawings and detailed part specifications.
Collaboration:
Work closely with engineers, manufacturing teams, and other stakeholders to refine designs and ensure manufacturability.
Analysis and Validation:
Conduct design analysis (e.g., using FEA) to assess structural integrity and performance, and support prototype development and testing.
Problem Solving:
Identify and resolve design-related issues, ensuring designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
Documentation:
Prepare and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs), design documentation, and other relevant technical data.
Compliance:
Ensure all designs adhere to relevant industry standards (e.g., API, ASME) and customer specifications.
Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D), experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software is a plus.
Engineering Knowledge:
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and design principles.
Problem-Solving:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve design issues.
Communication:
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with various teams.
Attention to Detail:
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality of designs.
Experience:
Relevant experience in mechanical design, ideally within a compressor manufacturing environment.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
