Job description:
The primary responsibilities for this role include:
Design and Drafting: Create detailed technical drawings, layouts, and schematics for Pulverizer Machines, including their sub-assemblies and individual parts. This involves using AutoCAD for 2D drafting to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Collaboration: Work closely with Project managers to understand design specifications and incorporate changes.
Revision and Documentation: Modify and update existing drawings based on feedback from engineering or production, ensuring all designs comply with industry standards and regulations. The designer is also responsible for maintaining and organizing all project files and documentation.
Problem-Solving: Identify potential design or manufacturing issues early in the design phase and propose effective solutions to enhance product quality and efficiency.
A candidate for this position should possess the following:
Technical Skills: • Expertise in AutoCAD: Proficient in using AutoCAD for 2D design.
Mechanical Aptitude: A strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes (like sheet metal fabrication, machining, and welding), and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Additional Software: Familiarity with other 3D modeling software like SolidWorks or Inventor is often a plus.
Educational Background: Mechanical Engineer required.
Attention to Detail: Precision is critical to prevent costly errors in production.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Time Management: The capacity to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
