Senior E-Commerce Accountant

Role Overview

The Senior E-Commerce Accountant will manage end-to-end e-commerce accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance, and reconciliations across all sales channels. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with Tally Prime, and advanced proficiency in Excel.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting for e-commerce channels (Amazon Vendor Central, Flipkart, JioMart, Quick Commerce).

• Perform invoice validation and payment reconciliation (sales, returns, commissions, deductions, etc.).

• Maintain accurate records of revenue, expenses, and inventory accounting.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including P&L, Balance Sheet, and MIS.

• Ensure statutory compliance with GST, TDS, and other regulatory requirements.

• Manage vendor settlements, payments, and credit notes efficiently.

• Oversee inventory accounting, stock valuation, and COGS (Cost of Goods Sold).

• Generate and analyze MIS and sales performance reports using advanced Excel tools.

• Collaborate with operations and sales teams for seamless coordination on financial activities.

• Identify and implement process improvements in accounting, reconciliation, and reporting systems.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of hands-on accounting experience (preferably in E-commerce / Consumer Electronics / Retail).

• Strong understanding of e-commerce portal reconciliations (Amazon, Flipkart, Quick Commerce).

• Proficiency in Tally Prime and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).

• Sound knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
