Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:
Prepare, analyze, and present accurate financial statements, reports, and regulatory documents.
General Ledger & Reconciliations:
Maintain the general ledger, perform account reconciliations, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, and monitor budget performance against planned targets.
Compliance & Audits:
Ensure adherence to accounting principles (like GAAP) and tax regulations, and support internal and external audit processes.
Internal Controls:
Help develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve financial processes.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct variance analysis and other financial analyses to provide insights and support management decisions.
Staff Supervision:
Plan, assign, and review the work of accounting assistants and bookkeepers.
