Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage and maintain the financial records of our Delhi office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling accounts, budgeting, donor fund tracking, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies. Your role will be vital in maintaining financial transparency and supporting our impactful initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records, including receipts, payments, invoices, and ledgers.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and ensure timely submission to management.
Track donor contributions and allocate funds in alignment with donor preferences and project needs.
Monitor and manage the organization’s budgets and expenditures.
Reconcile bank statements and coordinate with external auditors and financial institutions.
Ensure compliance with Indian accounting regulations, statutory requirements, and internal controls.
Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and financial documentation for fundraising and audits.
Collaborate with program and fundraising teams to manage financial planning and reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit or NGO setting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or Zoho Books).
Strong understanding of financial regulations, audits, and tax compliance in India.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
